'The Diamond Room' - Coming Soon at Gemporia

Is it just me that imagines shopping for diamond jewellery, especially an engagement ring, to be very stressful? It involves going out and looking round several stores to try and find the perfect one. Luckily for us, Gemporia* will be launching 'The Diamond Room', which is a way of shopping for the perfect ring without even having to leave your bed.

Using 'Virtual In Store Retailing (VIStailing)', the customer will now have the ability to to directly engage with diamond experts via live video chat, or a typed request. They will be available from 1pm-1am, 7 days a week to give you a personal shopping experience like no other.

The experts are fully trained to answer any questions that you may have about specific pieces of jewellery, and can show you close up footage, as well as compare two different pieces to each other. It means that the customer is not just relying on pictures.

The Gemporia Founder, Steve Bennet says: "There have always been customers who know exactly what they want and will shop online in the conventional way, but when customers need a more detailed service and demonstration, VIStailing is the obvious choice."

The difference between shopping on the high street, and shopping with Gemporia, is that they have over 700 designs to choose from, which you would never be able to look at if you went into a store. The prices of the jewellery is also a lot better than in stores.

Once you have decided on your perfect piece of jewellery, it will be shipped the following day, right in time for you to pop the question.

This launches on the 4th March, so get excited. You can take a further look here http://www.gemporia.com/en-gb/diamond-room-coming-soon/.

Brown Smokey Eye using the Kat Von D Palette

Over the past couple of years, I have got a lot more into doing my makeup, and creating different looks. I thought it would be a fun idea, if I started posting 'Face of the Day' posts and make a list of all the makeup I used.

In today's makeup look, I went for a coppery look, with winged eye liner. I used the Kat Von D 'Shade and Light Palette', which I am obsessed with.

Products used:
Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
Collection Loose Powder
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
NARS Deep Throat Blush
Mary- Lou Miniser Highlight
Collection Work the Colour Eyebrow Palette
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Shade and Light Palette (Succubus and Saleos)
L'Oreal Super Liner
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Eyelure Lengthening False Lashes
NYX Matte Lip Cream in London

Let me know if you like this kind of post! I loved writing it.

The Balm's Mary-Lou Miniser Review

I bought this highlighter in December, because I had a Feel Unique voucher, and I had heard so many people raving about it. It completely lives up to the hype. I am so in love with it, which you will know if you read my January Favourites post.

I included a picture above, of a swatch of the product, but it doesn't do it justice. It doesn't pick up too well on camera, so don't let that put you off.

For an all over dewy effect, I have been putting Benefit's High Beam under my foundation, and then this one over the top. I have found this to be an amazing combination. It is just as amazing on its own though.

It costs £17, so it's a little more pricey, but it is completely worth the money! Also, you only need a little bit of the product to create a big effect, so I'm hoping it will last me ages. But I will definitely be repurchasing when I finally run out.

I was so set on finding a highlighter that looks natural and not really cakey on your foundation, and this one is perfect. It lasts with your makeup too, and stays in place all day.

As for the packaging, I love the drawing on the compact and think it looks great. However, I find the packaging really hard to open. Other than that it is amazing and I would definitely recommend it.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Review

If you read my January Favourites post, you will know that I am currently in love with the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. They are liquid lipsticks, that are matte and very long lasting.

First of all I bought the colour 'Amsterdam' (the red on the left). I loved the formula so much that I decided to buy two more, and they were 'London' (the nude in the middle) and 'Copenhagen" (the burgundy on the right). I love the names of them too, and the fact that they are all named after cities.

Amsterdam- I am not the person to wear red lipstick too often but when I do, I want to wear the perfect one. This is amazing. It's not too red that it's overpowering, but it isn't too dark either. It is a really good balance.

London- I have to say, as bad as it sounds, I bought this because it is called London. I obviously liked the look of the colour, but the name swayed my decision. It actually ended up being my favourite of all three. It's a very neutral nude, not too brown and not too pink.

Copenhagen- I always seem to buy dark purple lipsticks. I think they work pretty well with my skin tone, and this one is no exception. The pigmentation is great, and you can either wear it as a bold colour or more toned down depending on how much you apply.

As for the formula of the lipsticks, it is incredible. The pigmentation of all the colours are amazing, and they stay that way for hours. The lipsticks are matte, and they dry so quickly. You can eat and drink about 3 minutes after you've applied it and it will not budge. They can become a little bit drying if you wear them for long periods of time, but not as much as some other lipsticks.

They only cost £5.50 from Feel Unique and Boots, and in my opinion, that's an absolute bargain. I am definitely going to look at buying them in some more colours.

Gemporia Wishlist

You guys know that I love a wishlist, so when Gemporia* contacted me about their brand I was very excited. They have some beautiful jewellery, both high end and more affordable. The website has so many different items on it, so there is something for everyone. I have picked out a few of my favourite items. You can check out their website here.

This necklace is so beautiful, and I love the way that it is simple but still has quite an elaborate charm. This would be a great present for a friend/ mum/ sister.

Swiss Blue Topaz & Tanzanite Sterling Silver Necklace- £146
I have kept this wish list pretty affordable, but I had to put at least one thing a bit more pricy on here. I am in love with this. I love the pattern, and the blue adds such a nice, subtle colour.

I am all for statement jewellery, but I also love pieces like this, which are very simple and elegant. I love that this could be worn for either an everyday or formal look. It is also very affordable.
I think that this bracelet would be such a good present for your mum. The colours are beautiful, and I love the fact that there are three subtly different colours.
These earrings look so expensive, and I think that they are a great value for money. They would look great for a dressed up event.
A lot of the rings from Gemporia are engagement rings, and are therefore pretty pricey (but gorgeous!), but this one is on the more affordable side. This ring is so beautiful and I love the shape and colour.

Which one of these is your favourite?

January Favourites

This year, I am going to try to write  a lot more monthly favourites posts, because I didn't do as many as I would have liked to last year. So to kick it off, today I have my January Favourites. Some of the products, I bought in December and some are old discoveries.

Mary-Lou Manizer
I always see people talking so highly about this highlighter, and I can see why. I bought this in December, and love it so much. It is a powerful highlight, but you can still get away with using it for a natural look. It is the most beautiful colour and is shimmery. It is great for creating a more dewy look. I have a review of this going up very soon.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
I got this concealer for Christmas, after loving the look of it for months. I wrote a review about it, so if you are interested you can find it here. I love its high coverage and the fact that it doesn't crease under your eyes. It also blends in really well with foundation, for an airbrushed finish. It is great for both dark circles and blemishes.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
I clearly spent way too much money in December, because I also bought these three lipsticks too. I bought them in the colours Copenhagen, Amsterdam and London. They apply so smoothly, and dry matte very quickly. They smell so good too. The colours and pigmentation are amazing. I will have a review of these going up very soon.

Benefit Porefessional
Benefit Porefessional is a product that I have loved for a while. I received a new one for Christmas, and have fallen in love with it again. It makes your skin so soft, and such a good base to apply foundation too. It keeps your makeup on all day, and really reduces the appearance of pores.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Shockingly, I also bought this mascara in December. I was clearly treating myself that month. I love this mascara so much, and has probably become one of my favourite mascaras of all time. It curls your lashes so well, and makes them look so natural, but long and gives them volume.

What did you love throughout January?
