The Christmas Tag || Blogmas Day 1

This year I am going to be doing Blogmas again, so I will be posting everyday up until Christmas Day, or maybe even for the whole month. What better way to kick things off than with a Christmas tag?

1. What is your favourite Christmas film?

Probably Nativity. I know all of the words to every song. Other than that, Home Alone is my favourite, and I have no joke watched it probably at least 30 times. Another one that I love is National Lapoon's Christmas Vacation. Me and my family always sit down to watch it every year, usually on Christmas Eve.

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?

I have spent my last few Christmas's skiing in France, so yes. As for England, I don't think I have. I think one year we almost did, but the snow all melted on Christmas Eve.

3. What is your favourite Christmas song?

My favourite Christmas carol is 12 Days of Christmas, because one year me and my friend learnt all the words, and it amused us for the whole of December. For Christmas songs in general, Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas is always a winner, and my guilty pleasure is Mistletoe by Justin Bieber.

4. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

We usually leave them to Christmas Day. But, when me and my brother were younger, we used to open the presents that we had got for each other before we went to bed on Christmas Eve.

5. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Rudolph, Blixon, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Comet.... no I can't!!

6. What holiday tradition are you looking forward to most this year?

Probably the food! And also I just love spending time with my family. My favourite thing about Christmas is just going out and seeing all the lights, and having Christmas music playing everywhere.

7. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

This year I think it will be fake, but we do have a real one some years.

8. What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?

Ah there are so many to choose from. I do really love the Lindt Chocolate Reindeers, and I have a Lindt advent calendar this year, which makes me so happy!

9. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

Obviously everyone loves receiving gifts, but I do really like giving them too. I love when you have put so much thought into someone's present and they love it.

10. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?

I've got so many amazing presents over the years. My favourites are when I am completely surprised by it. Last year I got a laptop, which I was so not expecting, and I very nearly cried.  I also remember when I was about 8 or 9, I got a blonde Hannah Montana wig, which I was in love with.

11. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

New York City. It looks so pretty in the winter and it would also be amazing to spend New Year's Eve there too. I absolutely love London at Christmas, so I'd love New York.

12. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

Okay, I am a really bad wrapper. I want so badly to be good at it, but I'm just not, unless its a perfect square/ rectangle box. However, I do take great pleasure in making it look pretty after, by adding ribbon and bows (which are mainly there to hide my awful wrapping).

13. Most memorable Holiday moment?

It's not really a single moment, but when I was younger my Grandparents would always put mine and my brother's presents in a massive Christmas bag. It always used to make us so excited, and it is just something that I will never forget.

14. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?

I make New Year's resolutions every year, and sometimes I do actually stick to them. My 2014 goal was to read every single day, and I did actually do that. But sometimes, I stick to them for barely any time at all, and two weeks into January they are completely out the window.

15. What makes the holidays special for you?

As I mentioned earlier, I love spending the time with my family. I also just love Christmas spirit. I love when everything feels all Christmassy and everyone is excited!

I hope you have enjoyed reading this. If you do this tag, send me the link because I would love to read it.

  1. This is such a lovely start to blogmas, really festive! I really wish I had a day free in my blogmas schedule so I could do it now >.<
Ribbons and bows hide a multidue of wrapping sins, the bigger the better haha.

  3. Great to read your Christmas memories - our favourite film is Home Alone, not seen Nativity so maybe I should put that on my list to watch
