Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer

I will start this post off by saying that I am only 16, and therefore I didn't buy this concealer for anti-aging purposes. I do, however, struggle with dark under eye circles, so I am always on the hunt for a new concealer.

I picked this concealer up during the summer because I had heard so many great things about it. I was also really intrigued about the fact that it had a sponge on the end. It makes applying the concealer so much easier. However I don't use the sponge to blend in the concealer because too much product comes out and it makes it really stressful. The other thing is that I worry about the sponge getting dirty, and it isn't the easiest thing to clean.

As for the concealer itself, it is really good. It has great coverage, and you can apply a fair bit without it looking cakey. It is also great under my eyes, because it doesn't crease at all. I often get dry patches around my eyes, and usually struggle finding a concealer that doesn't emphasise that, which luckily this one doesn't. It also lasts very well throughout the day.

Halloween Baking Treats

Halloween baking is so much fun, and it doesn't always necessarily need to be hard or require a lot of time and effort, for it to look good. Here are two Halloween treats that are so quick and easy to make, but look so effective.

Ghost Cupcakes

I always see these cupcakes all over the Internet when it comes to Halloween and they look amazing, but they are actually so quick and easy to make.

 For this you will need:
Roll out fondant icing

You will need to start off with some cupcakes of your choice. You can either make them yourself or you can just buy them. I made chocolate ones, but it would also be a good idea to make vanilla ones and then add green or orange food colouring, too make them look more halloween themed. You will also need buttercream icing and a little chocolate ball. I used maltesers but if you don't get them where you live, you could always use something different.

You need to remove your cupcake from the casing and flip it upside down. You then need to add some buttercream to the top of the cake and press one maltesers into the icing. After that, roll out some white fondant icing and just lay it over the top of the cupcake tower. It isn't supposed to be neat, so it is fine if there are some creases in it, but make sure it hasn't broken or ripped at all.

The final thing that you need to do, is make eyes and a mouth. I used the fondant icing again. I put it in the microwave for a couple of seconds, to soften it up and then mixed it with black food colouring. I think rolled it up into little balls for the eyes, and slightly bigger balls for the shocked mouth. That's literally how easy it is, and they look amazing.

Biscuit Mouths

These are the kind of thing that you can make in literally 5 minutes, and you probably have most of the components in your house anyway.

You will need:
Red Icing

The first thing that you need to do is make icing. You can use whatever icing you want, I just made buttercream, and then add red food colouring. You can also use the little red tubes of icing that you can buy in supermarkets. After that, you will need to cut some biscuits in half. You can use whatever biscuits you like, I just went for milk chocolate digestives, because I love them.

Then apply a layer of the icing to each half of the biscuit and stick down some mini marshmallows around the edge. Then you need to sandwich the two biscuits together, and you have a mouth.
It is best to have your icing a little bit runny, so that it drops down like blood. Then just pop them in the fridge until the icing sets, and they are ready to eat.

I hope you have found these helpful. If you try either of them let me know in the comments, or tweet me @beautybillboard.

Best of the USA Graze Box- NEW!!

I have loved Graze for years and have bought so many boxes over that time. As you can imagine, I was so excited when I got an email from them, asking me to be an Graze Ambassador, and I'm so happy to be working with them.

If you don't know much about Graze, they are an online company who post you a cardboard box filled with 4 little boxes of snacks. They are so great, because their snacks are usually very healthy and contain things like dried fruit and nuts (and the occasional chocolate dip!!). They are perfect to take to school or work, and there are a lot of different box types to choose from.

There is a new box, launching from Graze today, and that is the American themed one, called Best of the USA*. I love American food so when I first saw this, I was so excited. The box contains snacks that are already available in Graze boxes in America and this is the first time they will be available in the UK. Each snack is based on a classic American flavour or food trend. Everything in the box is also under 150 calories, but still delicious.

The box contains:

New York Everything Bagel- Poppy Seed and Onion Sesame Sticks
The famous everything bagel- an American bagel with all the seasonings- can be found in all the best New York delis. We've combined poppy seeds and onion sesame sticks to bring this classic from the big apple to your graze box.
These are such a great alternative to bagels. They are crunchy, but still have the bagel flavour and they are delicious.

Campfire Smores- Mini Vanilla Marshmallows, Sponge Pieces and Salted Almond Milk Chocolate Buttons
This timeless American snack is inspired by the classic childhood ritual where chocolate and marshmallows are melted over a campfire and sandwiched between crackers.
Even before I ate these, I knew that they would be my favourite. Smores are the most American snack you could imagine and Graze have done a great job of recreating it. I especially love the crunchy chocolate buttons.

Creamy Ranch Kern Pops- Ranch Flavoured Kern Pops
Our taste experts took newly invented kern pops- made from popcorn kernels and baked for more crunch- and fuse them with classic creamy ranch salad dressing so you can taste two US favourites in one satisfyingly crunchy bite.
These were so tasty, and for some reason a lot different to how I imagined they would be. The sour cream and onion flavour is also delicious!

Stars and Stripes- Blueberry Infused Cranberries, Raspberry Strings and Black Currant Fruit Stars
To celebrate American Independence Day, out taste experts took inspiration from the flag to create this chewy treat.
These were another favourite from the box. It is a combination between jelly sweet kind of snacks and dried fruit. They would make such a good little dessert, if you fancy something sweet.

I loved this box so much, and if you can get your hands on one, you definitely should!
A limited number of these boxes are going to be available for one-off order on the website and will be only £4.99. Get them here.

Favourite MAC Products

I love MAC so much and if it wasn't so expensive, I would probably by all my makeup from there. But out of the things that I do own, here are my favourite products from MAC.

Powder Blush- Fleur Power
I have talked about this blush countless amounts of times on my blog, but I love it so much. It is a natural pink colour, that is perfect for anytime of the year and for any look. I bought the pot nearly a year ago now, I've used it almost everyday since and I still haven't hit pan, so the value for money is amazing.

Lipstick- Dark Side
This lipstick went away for the summer, but it is definitely coming back out for Autumn and Winter. It is such a beautiful dark colour, and the lasting power is amazing. It is a glossy lipstick, so it doesn't dry out your lips, but the pigmentation is still brilliant. Again, this is definitely worth the money.

Vanilla Pigment
This was the first MAC product that I ever heard about, but it took me so long to get round to buying it. I bought a mini version, so there is not as much in there, but I'm sure it will last me a really long time. It is the most beautiful colour, and I love that it can be used for highlight either on the eyes, or on your cheeks. It is such a pretty highlight, with out being way too over the top.

Warm Neutrals Palette
Nothing makes me happier than a good eyeshadow palette. I have wanted to build my own in MAC for such a long time, but it just works out so expensive, so in the end I found this one, which contains a lot of the colours that I would have picked anyway. The colours are a mixture of matte and shimmery and they are all quite neutral colours. I love how you can create so many different looks out of one palette. If you are looking for a natural higher end palette, I would recommend this a lot.

What are you favourite products from MAC?

MAC Classic Black Eye Kit Review

I love buying stuff from MAC, but I always leave the shop spending so much money, so any deals I can get, I'm all for. When I was in America during the summer, one of the department stores was doing a gift set deal. It contained all black eye products, which was a mascara, an eye pencil and a gel eyeliner.

Extreme Dimension Lash Mascara
The mascara that came in the gift set, has been one that I have used so much since. It is not amazing at lengthing lashes, but it does a great job of adding volume. It is also very black, so even applying just a little bit of it makes your lashes really dark. It is quite a thick mascara, so you have to scrape off the wand before applying it, otherwise it sometimes clumps on your lashes. It isn't waterproof, but it doesn't smudge throughout the day at all. It just means that it is easier to remove in the evening. It is also great at holding a curl, especially if you curl your lashes in between application of the mascara. The only problem I have with it, is that it takes quite a while to dry, other than that I love it. It will stay on all day, and I also love it for my bottom lashes too.

Fluidline Gel Eyeliner
I feel like I have mentioned this gel eyeliner so much on my blog. It is one of the first gel eyeliners that I have owned, and I really do love it. A lot of people find them really stressful, but I like using it with a brush, because I feel like I have so much more control. As for the eyeliner itself, it is so good. It is great to use either for a perfect line, or to blend out for a smokier effect. It lasts so well, and also dries really quickly, which means your can curl your eyelashes really soon after applying it.

Kohl Eye Pencil
I don't dislike this pencil at all, in fact I really do like it. But for £14 it isn't anything special compared to other eye pencils. It does last a bit longer, and apply a bit smoother but it is nothing groundbreaking. Saying that, I do enjoy using it. It is a good colour to create a really defined shape with, but as it is a kohl pencil it is also great to blend out for a smokier or softer look.

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

As soon as I used my first Naked Palette, I fell in love. So once I had finished all my exams in the summer, I decided to treat myself and buy the Smoky Palette. I am so glad that I bought it. I love it so much, and I use it so often.

The palette contains a good mix between matte and shimmery shades, which all of the Naked palettes do, which makes it good for creating a range of different looks. This palette has definitely got me to branch out and wear darker/ more dramatic looks than I usually would. However, the colours are still neutral, which means that you can wear more natural and less dramatic looks too.

The brush that comes in the palette, is different to the one in the others. One end is a blending brush and the other has a small round tip, which is good for lining under the eyes, and also for highlighting the inner corners of your eyes. The blending brush is amazing. It is so soft and it is the best brush for blending that I have ever used. The palette also comes with a leaflet inside, with a guide to creating different looks with the colours. I am also so in love with the packaging. It is absolutely stunning and has a 3D effect with the writing.

The eyeshadows are absolute perfect quality. I love them. Urban Decay make the best eyeshadows. No question. The pigmentation is amazing, they blend so well, and they last all day/night.

*The colours in the palette from left to right*

High- This is great to add a bit of shimmer, either to the inner corners or in the centre of the lid. It is a very pale and shimmery silver.

Dirtysweet- This is good for all over the lid. It is a beautiful copper/ bronze shade, with a hint of shimmer.

Radar- This is one of my favourites in the palette. It is a light and slightly shimmery brown, and is good to blend into the crease for a more natural look, or to blend out a harsher colour.

Amour- This colour looks very silver in the palette, but actually appears quite a dark blue when you apply it. It is also the most shimmery dark colour in the palette.

Slanted- Out of all the colours, I have probably used this one the least so far. It is a very pale blue/ silver colour, with a hint of shimmer.

Dagger- This is darker blue colour. It is good for the outer part of your eye, and for blending with colours like 'Slanted' and 'Armour'.

Black Market- This is one of the darkest eyeshadows that I own and use. It is a very dark blue, and almost looks black. It is amazing for a dramatic smoky eye, and it looks amazing blended into the crease. It is also good for lining the top or bottom lash line.

Smolder- This is one of my favourites in the palette. It is dark purple, which can make your makeup a little bit more edgy, but still keeping the colours relatively neutral at the same time.

Password- This is the best named eyeshadow in the palette. I just feel like it suits it so perfectly. It is matte grey, which is amazing as a base all over the eye, and also for blending out darker colours.

Whiskey- This is the best colour to use in the crease, and outer section of the eye. It is the perfect matte brown and I feel like it compliments my lighter brown eye colour well. It's also great for lining your lower lash line.

Combust- I always start my eye makeup off with this colour, when I use this palette. It is a pale nude, and such a great base for all looks.

Thirteen- This is a matte cream/ white, and is good to use as a base, or for under the brow bone/ inner corners, mixed with 'High'. I do prefer 'Virgin' from the first palette for this though.

The most common look that I go for is quite a natural one. I like to start of by applying Combust all over my lid and then blending Whiskey into the crease (sometimes mixed with Radar or Password), then I take High over the centre of my eyelid, and mix it with Thirteen to highlight my inner corners.

I would recommend this palette so much. It makes the perfect present for a friend (or for you). Don't be scared off by it being a 'Smoky Palette' because the colours are all pretty neutral and you can create either a very dramatic or way more natural everyday look.

e.l.f Makeup Wishlist

I recently made my first purchases from e.l.f cosmetics and loved them. Their products aren't that easy to get hold of in the U.K. but they can be ordered online from the website. I had a look through the website, and found so many things which look amazing, so here is my wish list. I also love that everything is very reasonably priced.

Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder- £4.50
I think this was probably the first product from e.l.f that I ever heard about. I like how easy it would be to have both a blush and a bronzer in one place, and I also love the look of the colours. For two products rolled into one, the price is great too.

Mineral Infused Face Primer- £7.50
I am always of the hunt for a new primer, and this looks like a great one to try out. I also really love the packaging of this product.

High Definition Under Eye Setting Powder- £4.50
For ages, I have been meaning to buy a setting powder for under my eyes. I always have dark circles, so anything that could brighten up my eyes is a win.

Eyebrow Kit- £4.50
Again, like the primer, I am always on the lookout for new eyebrow products. I love that this has two colours included so you can blend them together or use the different colours for different things.

Daily Brush Cleaner- £4.50
I suck at cleaning my makeup brushes. I hardly ever do it, because it is just such a massive chore. A daily brush cleaner would definitely help me out, because you could just clean them after use and not have to make it a huge event.

Waterproof Mascara Top Coat- £4.50
Is this not just the best invention ever. This would make my life so much easier. The amount of times I have to wear certain mascaras because I need them to be waterproof, and you can just use this over the top.
