The Best Microwave Mug Cookie

Mug cakes are my favourite thing ever. It is great being able to make a cake for one person with ingredients you are likely to already have at home. I also love cookies, so why not combine my two favourite things and make a mug cookie. I am not claiming to have come up with this idea, but this is a recipe that I came up with and love.

You will need:
-2 tbsp butter/ margarine
-2 tbsp brown sugar
-1 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 egg
-4 tbsp self-raising flour
-a tiny pinch of baking powder
-a few drops of vanilla extract
- chocolate chips or chocolate chunks

Add of these ingredients to your mug and mix well. Remember to only use a tiny pinch of baking powder because self raising flour is already included. If the mug is almost full already, don't include baking powder. Believe me, from experience, it will spill over the edge when you cook it, and it will be messy.

Once all of the ingredients are mixed well, put it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Keep an eye on it the whole time because you don't want it to be overcooked or burn. Just make sure that it is cooked the whole way through before you eat it.

I hope you enjoy this recipe. It is quite filling, so it is also good to share.

If you make it, I would love to know.
