Favourite Drugstore Foundations

Last week I wrote a post about my favourite drugstore mascaras, and really enjoyed writing it, so I thought that I would write another for foundations. I tend to use drugstore foundations, because higher end ones are usually pretty expensive, and drugstore versions are usually still good quality. Here are my top 3 drugstore foundations.

Rimmel Match Perfection
This was the first liquid foundation that I ever used, (before that I used Bare Minerals Powder Foundation). It does what it says on the tin and is very good at matching your skin tone (as long as it is a close colour match). It blends really nicely and has high coverage. It is quite dewy when you first apply it, but matifies a bit, soon afterwards. It also lasts well on your skin.

Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin
This is probably my most favourite drugstore foundation ever, although I haven't used it in a while. The packaging promises better and clearer skin in a few weeks, and it does not disappoint. When I first bought this, I was struggling with bad skin and this cleared it up pretty quickly. It has medium coverage and feels very light and soft on your skin. If you are struggling with bad skin, I would recommend this foundation. It is not a perfect miracle worker, but it is nice to be able to wear foundation, knowing that it is helping your skin and isn't making it worse.

L'Oreal True Match
This foundation has been a recent favourite of mine, and I have been using it almost everyday for the past couple of months. I have found it to be amazing for the summer, as the coverage is good, but it feels so light on your skin. If you don't like the feeling of foundation, this is definitely a good one to try. It is great at balancing out redness on your face and covers it up well. It lasts well, too.

What is your favourite drugstore foundation? Have you tried any of these?

  2. When I first tried the Rimmel Match Perfection I didn't really like it but now I seem to go well with it! I have oily skin and I find that in hot days it melts a bit! Xx
