Dry Lip Saviours

Whether it is the cold weather or overusing matte lipsticks, my lips get dry so easily. There are certain products that I love, to help them.

Lip Scrubs are great for removing dry or dead skin and leaving your lips moisturised. I like using the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub, and I also recently made one which you can look at here.

Vaseline is an old classic, but sometimes this can be a bit boring. So, instead I like to use the pink Rosy Lips Vaseline. It smells a lot nicer than the normal one and it also gives your lips a pink tint.

Lipbalms are usually the most popular way of helping dry lips. They are so handy and also very easy to apply and carry around with you. If your lips are really dry, I would recommend the Derma Intensive Plus Lip Balm. It is so moisturising and also can be applied under lipstick or lipgloss. I also love Babylips because they colour your lips whilst moisturising them at the same time. If you are looking for a lot of colour whilst moisturising your lips, I would recommend the Babylips Electro collection that you can read about here.

MUA Product Round Up

I find MUA a very hit and miss brand. It is very cheap and sometimes it is a bargain but sometimes the cheap price shows in bad quality. I find it a good brand to go to to find a quick fix; sometimes it is successful, sometimes it isn't. Here is a roundup of some MUA products that I own.

Undress Me Too Palette
This palette is definitely my favourite MUA product that I own. It cost only £4, which is an absolute bargain for the good quality. It includes 12 different neutral shades, which have good pigmentation and lasting power. I would recommend this a lot.

Blusher- Shade 4
This blusher only cost £1, so I wasn't expecting much. It is good quality for money, but nothing incredible. The coverage is pretty good, but the lasting power isn't great.

Kiss Proof Lip Stain
I bought this product quite a while ago and it has almost run out, but I did enjoy using it. I like the colour and natural finish it gives, but it isn't very long lasting. The applicator is the same as a marker pen which also makes it easy to apply.

Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tint
This is one of the MUA products, that I am glad I bought. It is basically a cream eyeshadow stick. I usually either put it over my whole eyelid, or blend it into the crease. It is very easy to blend and is good quality for the money.

Lipstick- Fashionista
I bought this lipstick a while ago. I've looked and I'm not sure if the packaging has been change. It cost £1 and it does show, as it stays on for all of 5 minutes. The formula is also too oily which makes the pigmentation bad.

Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter
I would definitely recommend this highlighter. It is great to use both on your cheeks and on the inner corners of your eye. It is a really lovely colour and the lasting power is good.

What are your favourite MUA products?

Insta Natural Moroccan Rose Water Review

I recently received the Moroccan Rose Water Ultimate Facial Toner* from Insta Natural.

I dont know whether its due to the sudden change in weather, or the stress of my exams, but my skin hasn't been great recently. I have been breaking out a lot and have so many patches of dry skin.
I wouldn't say that this product has been a miracle worker, but it has definitely been one of the products that has helped me get my skin back on track.

There are three ways in which this product can be used. It can be used for toning your face, making your hair shinier and can also be added to bathwater. I have mainly just been using it on my face, as that is the area that needs it the most. It has been good at clearing up dry skin, without making any other parts of my skin oily. It is also good at reducing the appearance of blemishes and redness on my skin. I am also very happy that it didn't irritate my skin at all, because a lot of products tend to.

I have used it once on my hair and it did make it feel softer and shinier. You are supposed to let it sit for 20 minutes before you wash your hair, but I only left it for 5-10 minutes, so it probably would have had more of an affect if I had left it for longer.
I also enjoyed using it in the bath. It doesn't really do much to your skin, as you only add a small amount. However, it has a lovely and relaxing scent, which is perfect for the bath.

It is very nourishing for your skin and just makes it feel a lot more clean and fresh. Also, I feel like it is going to last for quite a while, as I have used it lot but there is still loads left.

Seventeen Gel Colour Nail Polish Review

For Christmas, I received one of of the Seventeen Gel Colour Nail Polishes in the colour 'Mint Bon Bon'.

I'll start off by saying that I love the turquoise colour. They are very cheap at £3.99 per bottle and it comes in 15 different shades. The formula is amazing and is very easy to apply. It has good coverage and you can get away with either one or two coats.

It dries very quickly, which I love because I am way too lazy to sit around waiting for nail polish to dry. It does give a gel-typed finish and is very shiny and smooth. I have found it to be quite similar to the Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes.

The lasting power is good and it stays on for around 3-4 days, which is good for the price. The brush is wide and this makes it so much easier to apply and it also means that less coats are needed.

Have you tried this? Let me know what you think if you have.

Soap and Glory Flake Away Review

If you read my blog a lot, you will be able to tell that I am a big Soap and Glory fan. I love so many of their products, especially skincare and 'Flake Away' is no exception. I haven't used this product too many times yet but still have some thoughts on it.

This is a great product for removing dry or dead skin and exfoliating your body, especially your arms and legs. It is very similar to the 'Scrub Of Your Life' except it is in tub from rather than in a tube.

It leaves your skin feeling very smooth, soft and moisturised. It has the typical Soap and Glory smell, which I love and the smell does linger on your skin for a while after use.

A little bit of the scrub goes a long way, which means that the tub will last for a long time and it isn't very expensive anyway.

Let me know if you have tried this and what you thought of it.

Styling Tips for a Long Bob || Guest Post

Jennifer Lawrence, Emily Blunt, Reese Witherspoon, Heidi Klum are all celebrities who have had a long bob. A long bob hairstyle is the hottest trend nowadays. If you decide to cut your hair, this hairstyle is a must-have when it comes to trends. In addition, this hairstyle looks great on any face shape. Styling tips for long bob follow. Stay with us.

Blunt long bob
You can wear a blunt bob with or without bangs. It all depends on your hairstyle preferences and the shape of your face. On the other hand, you can wear a blunt long bob with the deep side part or you can wear it centre parted. When it comes to bangs, you can choose from a variety of types of bangs including blunt bangs, side swept bangs and fringe bangs. For all of these hairstyles, you need a flat iron and some styling products such as serum, spray, mousse or cream and a good quality iron to prevent hair damage and breaking. The top curling irons are Cloud Nine, Revlon, Sultra, Conair and Remington. Firstly, section the hair. Each section should be one and half inch long. Pull the iron through the section. In the end, apply a styling product to add shine and smoothness.

Undone curls
A long bob and undone curls are the perfect combination. You can wear undone curls whether you want to have bangs or not. In this case as well, you can wear undone curls with the deep side part or centre parted. In order to get this hairstyle, start with damp hair. Next, apply a volumizing mousse. For this hairstyle, you need a curling iron. Twist hair sections around a barrel of a curling iron for a second. Finally, slide the sections off. 1 ¼ inch curling iron is perfect for undone curls.

Long bob and ombre highlights
Long bob and ombre highlights are among the trendiest looks nowadays. Why not combine them? The good news is that you can do ombre hair at home. Cut the foils to different lengths. You do not have to cut them orderly because you need a natural look. Section your hair. Apply the bleach on the tips, then apply it on the foil and wrap the hair in foil. Let the bleach process. When your tips are light enough, go two and half inches higher and repeat the previous steps. The third section should be one and half inches higher. It is important to check the sections in order to get the right shade for the ombre effect. Just make sure to provide enough care for your hair to avoid any hair damage.

Side swept long bob
For a side swept bob, you can have a blunt bob or undone curls. It works well for both hairstyles. This quick and easy hairstyle is done in three seconds. Pin your LOB behind your ear and let the front fall.

Braided detail
Another quick and easy hairstyle is a long bob and a braided detail at one side of the hair. This look works best if you have undone curls.

There is so much you can do with a long bob. The first three hairstyles are rather general and there are many variations of them. The last two hairstyles are rather specific. Choose the one you like. I am sure you will look gorgeous wearing any of these.

Real Techniques Nic's Picks Review

I am a huge fan of Real Techniques brushes. I own so many of them and use them everyday. For my birthday back in January, my friends bought my the Nic's Picks Collection.

I will start of by saying that they look gorgeous. I love the fact that they are silver and they also have coloured writing on them. They are such good quality and are so soft on the skin. The set contained five different brushes, all of which I love using.

Duo Fibre Face Brush
This is the biggest brush in the set. It is suitable for foundation, powder, bronzer or blusher. I have been using it for bronzer recently, as it leaves a naturally contoured finish.

Cheek Brush
This is definitely my favourite brush from this collection. I have been using it for foundation and it is great for blending it in and leaving an airbrushed effect.

Angled Shadow Brush
Instead of using this for eyeshadow, I have found it a great brush to use for concealer. It is perfect for blending concealer under your eyes and up near the inner corners of your eyes.

Base Shadow Brush
I already own this brush from another collection, but I love having two because it means I can use them for different colours, without having to wash them so often. It is a great brush for blending eyeshadows and I would recommend it a lot.

Eyeliner Brush
This brush is so tiny and I always find it hard to find in my pot of makeup brushes. It is great to use for both eyebrows and eyeliner because it can be used for small details.
