Avon Mega Effects Mascara Review

I got this mascara for Christmas and at first I was so confused by it. It is not the typical mascara shape and it very different from any others that I have tried before.

It comes in rectangular shaped packaging and when you pull out the want it looks like a square-shaped paint brush. I have actually found the shape handy when it comes to applying the mascara, especially on the bottom lashes. The brush does collect the product a lot, so every 5-10 times I use it, I wipe it clean with a makeup wipe.

As for the formula, it is not waterproof but does a very good job of staying on your lashes and doesn't smudge at all. It adds a lot of both volume and length to my lashes and only needs a couple of layers to create a great effect. It also holds a curl very well and leaves your lashes looking nice all day.

It is very easy to remove, which is good for me because I am lazy and hate mascara that takes ages to take off.

Have you tried this out before?

  1. When I saw this one, I had to try it. It looks so weird right? Haha. I sell Avon, but honestly this isn't one of my personal faves. The formula is so wet, which I get (there's more likelihood of the formula drying due to greater exposure to air); I'm just in too much of a hurry in the AM. However, I love the brush--I use the ends to get the tiny hairs and lower lash. That works well for me. Also, when I run out this formula, I'll definitely clean the brush off and use it as a declumper between coats of my next mascara.
