DIY Snowflake Makeup Brush Holder || Blogmas Day 14

I saw this DIY on Youtube last Christmas and loved the idea. When I was thinking about how to decorate my room this year, I instantly remembered this.

It is such a good way to add a Christmassy touch to you room, but it is very subtle and suitable for all year round.

So, here is how you make a Snowflake Makeup Brush Holder.

You will need:
An empty candle jar
White Spray Paint
3D Puffy Paint (I got some from Amazon)
Snowflakes drawn on paper (or pattern of choice)
Bluetack or tape

The first thing that you will need to do is use sandpaper to make sure that the glass isn't completely smooth, otherwise the paint will just slip off of it.

Next, you will need spray a very light coating of the white spray paint onto the glass.

After this you will need to stick the snowflakes that you have drawn on the inside of your glass and trace the shapes with your Puffy Paint. I found that it is better to do small layers and build them up, otherwise the paint will run and you will not be able to see the pattern.

Leave this to dry. It will take about 4 hours to properly dry so you will need to be patient (which is something I am not good at).

To finish it off you will need to apply another coat of the white spray paint. You will see that the snowflake pattern will stand out. This is the perfect way to store makeup brushes.

I hope you enjoyed reading about this and if you try it please let me know!
